Afternoon West Harbour
I hope you are all OK. What a challenging time many people have experienced.
We have completed our site check. Other than the big tree down; the school has power (to date) with roofs and windows intact. We have checked on our staff to ensure they can travel safely to school. We will be open tomorrow (Wednesday, February 15) unless there is a drastic return to the dangerous weather. If you can keep your children home then please do. I am still concerned about the high winds with several other trees needing to be closely checked. To ensure everyone’s safety we will be following these guidelines for those students who do return to school tomorrow-
# Bring your own morning tea and lunch as the lunch providers will not be operating tomorrow # The swimming pool, playgrounds, and field will be out of bounds till further notice. There will be very limited outside time
# Bring your own water bottle
# If walking to school, please accompany young children as the high winds could prove hazardous while trying to walk along the footpath
